In Loving Memory

In loving memory of my dear sister Pastor Catherine Griffin. I shall never forget that Sunday afternoon Overseer Eloise L. Young, my G-d mother, walked down the aisle of her church in Dobbs Ferry NY and said “Y’all, the two of you, create SOMETHING TOGETHER!!!! Help these people. You can do it!”

We both knew it would be ministry oriented. We went our separate ways and vowed to seek the will of the Lord and would come together in 60 days to discuss what He said to us.

I heard the Lord speak as I went away for a seven day fast in Rye, NY.  “Shut-in” He said. “Read MY WORD!!”  I said what should I read Lord? He said, “1 & 2 Samuel. I shall speak to you in my time.”

In obedience I began to read. The more I read the more I saw myself in these books. In the wee hours of the morning on the seventh day, while sleeping I could hear “start a covenant fellowship!” I left to go home.

That week we sat downstairs and pulled out our visions. God had given you an umbrella with the names of the ministries. Under the spokes you had drawn seven names. This was done on  a sheet of paper on Sunday morning during service.

I started crying and you said “what’s wrong?” I showed you my notebook where I had written what the Lord said to me  “start a Covenant for the type of people I showed you in 1 & 2 Samuel.  Like David's army we went to work putting both together.

Thus

Be Ye Steadfast Ministries International Covenant Fellowship was born -Fifth Sunday Assembly, Leadership Conference, etc. I miss you my first Covenant Sister and friend. Rest in Heaven. I carry on as I promised I would giving G-d and His people my all.

You taught us “Ministry isn’t convenient but it is necessary!” We’ll never forget your selflessness and love.
